I bought both the Donkey & Shrek mask templates. They turned out so good. I printed the templates on regular printer paper & then glued it to colored card stock according to the color suggestions. Then cut out all the pieces & started assembling. I will say, this took A LONG TIME to fold and assemble, but I would say it was worth it. Got many compliments on our masks.

Great purchase! It looks so good. Instructions were really clear and I had a lot of fun putting it together. Was very time consuming, took around 8+ hours over a few sittings – the outcome is definitely worth it if you have the patience.
I used a strong adhesive tape to stick this together but it was very thick so has made the mask look a bit gappy in places. Would recommend using glue or thin tape instead.

These are incredible. The art and skills necessary to create these files is impressive. My only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that I wish there were video tutorials for assembly. My first mask the colored cards took I used ended up being ok the inside of the mask, after a second look it seemed as though maybe the placement should have been mirrored, but that wasn’t super clear. These projects requires 4-5 hours minimum. Overall impressive product. Being a very visual learner a video tutorial qould have been incredibly helpful!
The designer was super helpful with the questions I did have before getting started. Overall I would recommend.

Le modèle du masque est super mais les instructions sont vraiment peu détaillés par rapport à la complexité de l’assemblage. Il m’a fallu plus de 10h à 2 pour faire ce masque et encore on a pas fini les yeux et les dents car on n’avait plus de temps. Un tutoriel vidéo serait le bienvenu ou au moins des explications plus détaillés dans le pdf.
Heureusement Ricardo est facilement joignable pour répondre aux questions mais c’est dommage de ne pas avoir mis à jour les instructions du pdf sur certains points.

The pattern was intuitive to put together and stays together fairly well with just double sided tape on each tab, but printing at «actual size» this mask will not fit over an adult’s head (unless you want to try and see out the mouth). Instead of starting again from scratch I cut out the backmost peice and created a new one that could replace it while adding 3 inches to the circumference. My finished product looks good and is functional but I wouldn’t recommend buying this pattern and using it as is. I’m not sure how much you’d have to increase the size before printing to make it fit an adult and I worry about individual peices fitting on a single page once you do scale it.

Perfect templates although it did take me two attempts, which was my fault as the first time I used normal cardboard boxes and they were too hard to fold. Cereal boxes worked perfectly. Great work!

instructions were a little unclear at first. after inspecting the pieces for a while i was able to figure things out. tape is your best friend bc just glue did not hold on some of the complicated areas like the eyes. i used some thick craft paper from walmart that stood up to being painted well, so i was able to paint the gums white and the lips brownish. added a nice touch!
i will say that, as someone who has a small head, the opening at the bottom is a tight fit! i actually trimmed it a bit to make it easier to take off and on.
took several hours to put together on my day off, so if you’re only going to be able to do like an hour at a time after work or something, start a week before you need this. nobody likes that panicky feeling when youre rushing, and putting things like this together is supposed to be fun! 🙂

Worked out great! Only complaint is that it’s a little confusing at first on the fold pattern which direction to fold. After I got that, it was good. Other reviews are right, this is a multiple night project! Use fast adhesion glue!

Whilst this looks amazing when finished, be warned, it’s takes a very long time to make (longer than the 8+hrs!). Some easier to follow instructions would be an advantage – even if it was where to start and maybe to do the smaller trickier pieces first!
But a very cool piece to make!

I purchased both the Donkey and Dragon mask and the Dragon mask was by far the most difficult of the two. Instructions are clear, however, I did need a little bit of guidance and seller responded within minutes. After reading through other reviews, I decided to use Mod Podge to make the mask more sturdy. The final size seemed a bit smaller compared to the size of the inside of the dragon mask, I ended having to make some adjustments in the back for it to fit my boyfriend’s head. I recommend holding off on gluing the chin section and back of the head last to see if you need to make any adjustments in order for it to fit properly. Highly recommend!
